Chapter 66

Sophia Roscente stepped forward.

She spoke softly. "You should come with us. I don't mind."

Her words pierced Anna Ross's heart like needles.

A sharp pain shot through her.

She wanted to flee this place immediately.

But Adrian Sinclair gave her no chance to escape.

She could only agree in a low voice. "Alright."

Adrian remained silent.

Sophia affectionately linked arms with him, walking ahead.

Anna followed quietly behind them.

A long distance stretched between the three of them.

Halfway there.

Sophia leaned close to Adrian's ear.

She said mysteriously, "Cousin, just admit you like her already."

Adrian's gaze shifted away.

He did not respond.

Sophia glanced back at Anna.

She lowered her voice. "It's perfect she's joining us for dinner."

"I saw her expression just now. She was definitely jealous."

"Let me test her feelings for you. What do you think?"

She was confident in understanding a woman's heart.

When she said she didn't mind.

She clearly saw the subtle change on Anna's face.

"No need."

Adrian refused in a deep voice.

He pulled open the car door.

His eyes swept over Anna.

Then he got into the car.

Hearing about testing Anna's feelings.

A faint thread of anticipation stirred within him.

But fear accompanied it.

He rubbed his temples.

Coldly instructing the driver to start the car.

Sophia saw his complex expression.

She already had a plan in mind.

At the restaurant.

Adrian chose a seat and sat down.

Sophia immediately sat close beside him.

She looked at Anna and said generously, "Don't stand on ceremony. Make yourself comfortable."

Anna felt like an extra person.

She forced herself to sit opposite them.

Watching her calm face.

Adrian felt inexplicably irritated.

He looked away.

The waiter quickly served all the dishes.

"Please enjoy your meal."

Sophia placed food in Adrian's bowl.

She said thoughtfully, "Eat more. You've gotten so thin from being too busy with work."

Adrian glanced at Anna.

He lowered his head and began to eat.

Sophia looked at Anna again.

She said with a clever smile, "Sorry, I just feel bad for him."

"Even when he's on a date with me, he's always busy with work."

"It's rare to have a meal out, so I couldn't help myself. Please forgive me."

She picked up a napkin and wiped the corner of his mouth.

The gesture was very intimate.

Anna's eating movements halted.

On a date with her?

She looked up at Adrian.

A sense of loss washed over her.

Had he become like this now?

Able to casually have multiple women.

Having any type of woman he wanted.

She laughed coldly inside.

Men really do change when they get money.

He was no longer the Adrian Sinclair from before.

Adrian pretended to glance up casually.

Looking at her across the table.

Then he lowered his head and continued eating.

A long time passed without any reaction from her.

He actually felt somewhat sad inside...
