Chapter 472

Adrian Sinclair's gaze settled on her.

She happened to look down.

Loose strands of hair obscured her profile.

He watched for a moment.

Reaching out, he gently brushed her hair aside.

Anna Ross jolted back as if electrified.

"Sophia and the others should have the noodles ready by now."

"Let's go back and eat."

She had only taken a few steps.

A delighted voice called out from behind.

"Adrian! What are you doing here?"

It was Chloe Valentine's voice.

Sure enough.

The figure rushed straight into Adrian Sinclair's arms.

"Adrian, what a coincidence."

"Could you take me home?"

Adrian frowned slightly.

His gaze shifted toward her.

Anna immediately averted her face.

He would probably take her home.

But that had nothing to do with her.

She was about to leave.

Chloe stopped her.

"Executive Assistant Ross, I didn't expect you to be here too."

"I didn't notice you earlier. My apologies."

Anna took half a step back.

She forced a response.

"It's fine. I just came down to buy something."

She looked down.

Noticing she was still wearing his jacket.

Chloe's eyes turned icy cold.

She had seen it all.

Watched him tenderly apply the Band-Aid for her.

That expression had never been directed at her.

Anna Ross was special.

Adrian approached.

He handed her the medicine bag.

"You should head back first."

"I won't be going up."

Anna took the bag.

The bottle of antiseptic lotion felt unusually heavy.

She was silent for a moment.

Then nodded gently.

"Alright."

"Drive safely."

She didn't look at them again.

Turning, she went straight upstairs.

Adrian glanced at the person beside him.

His tone was flat.

"Let's go. I'll take you home."

Chloe felt deeply uncomfortable.

The time he spent with her was pitifully scarce.

Yet he was willing to spare time for this woman.

But she had to endure it.

As long as she remained patient.

Everything in the Lowell family would eventually be hers.

Including this man.

"Adrian, wait for me!"

She raised an eyebrow disdainfully.

Quickening her pace to catch up.

Anna returned home.

She walked to the window.

His car was already gone.

She had forgotten to return his jacket.

She lowered her eyes.

Taking off the jacket.

"Sis, why are you alone?"

"Where's our cousin?"

Sophia Roscente peeked out curiously.

Anna pressed her lips together.

"He went back."

Marcus Hill emerged from the kitchen carrying bowls of noodles.

He was nearly shocked speechless.

"What!?"

"He actually left me here!"

"I need to have a serious talk with him!"

He pulled out his phone to make a call.

Anna glanced at the noodles.

Her earlier hunger had completely vanished.

"You two eat."

"I'm going to freshen up first."

Sophia noticed her subdued mood.

Wondering what had just happened.

She patted the person beside her.

Taking his phone from him.
