Chapter 462

Anna Ross picked up her phone.

The screen was blank.

Lucas Evans hadn't replied.

He was angry.

Inside the restaurant.

Adrian Sinclair stared out the window.

Her figure had disappeared.

His fingers tightened.

She hated him this much.

She would rather be threatened.

Than accept him.

But why did she warn him to be careful.

The server brought the food.

Adrian didn't touch it.

He paid and left.

He took out his phone.

"Noah Watson."

"Do something for me."

His voice was icy.

His uncle was getting restless.

It was time to make him sweat.

........

The bar lights were hazy.

Lucas sank into the couch.

Empty bottles covered the table.

His eyes were vacant.

A woman passed by.

Her clothes were revealing.

Seeing him drinking alone.

She curled her lips.

She sat beside him.

Her fingers climbed his shoulder.

She leaned her head against his chest.

Lifting her eyes to him.

"Handsome."

"Drinking alone is so boring."

"Let me keep you company."

Lucas paused.

Staring at her heavily made-up face.

He hallucinated.

He touched her cheek.

"Anna."

"Is that you?"

He couldn't believe it.

She had actually come.

The woman froze.

Lucas suddenly hugged her.

His arms tightened.

She almost suffocated.

"Anna."

"Seeing you leave with him."

"Shattered my heart."

"It hurts so much."

"Why?"

"You promised me first."

His voice was slurred.

Full of alcohol.

The woman struggled.

But thinking of spending the night.

She patted his back.

Purposely softening her tone.

"So I'm here now."

"No more drinking."

"Let me take you home."

Lucas was dazed.

He followed her.

In a blur.

The woman's hands undid his buttons.

He wanted to stop it.

But finally gave up.

........

The next day.

Lucas's head throbbed with pain.

He closed his eyes to ease it.

Then sensed something wrong.

He turned his head.

Saw the woman beside him.

Instantly froze.

His world collapsed.

What had he done.

The woman woke up.

Seeing he was still handsome.

She smiled with satisfaction.

Reached out to pull him.

"Handsome."

"Did you sleep well last night?"

"Get out."

"Don't touch me."

Lucas slapped her hand away.

As if touching garbage.

The woman didn't care.

Sat up to put on her clothes.

Whether he looked or not.

She spoke to herself.

"You weren't like this last night."

Lucas was provoked.

He shouted loudly.

"Shut up!"

"Forget what happened last night!"
