Anna Ross stepped out of the company's main entrance.

Adrian Sinclair was already standing by his car.

He reached out and opened the passenger door.

Anna hesitated for a moment.

She bent down and got in.

The car drove smoothly.

She looked out the window.

Suddenly, she realized the route was wrong.

"This isn't the way to Sophia's house."

She turned to look at the driver's seat.

Adrian held the steering wheel with one hand.

His gaze swept over her professional attire.

"You're wearing that to a birthday party?"

Anna looked down at herself.

White blouse, black trousers.

It really wasn't appropriate.

"I think it's fine…"

She defended herself quietly.

Adrian said nothing more.

He focused on driving.

The car stopped in front of a high-end boutique.

Anna looked at the gorgeous gowns in the window.

She instinctively touched her wallet.

She had already overspent on the gift today.

Buying a gown was simply too much.

She stood rooted to the spot, refusing to move.

Adrian directly grasped her wrist.

He led her into the store.

"Get that one."

The associate quickly retrieved the gown.

She smiled at Anna. "Your husband has excellent taste."

"He's not—"

Before she could finish.

The gown was pushed into her arms.

"Go try it on."

Adrian's tone was cold.

Anna carried the gown into the fitting room.

The dress was exquisitely tailored.

It fit her perfectly.

She pushed open the fitting room door.

Adrian was waiting on the sofa.

He looked up at the sound.

His gaze instantly deepened.

Anna walked to the mirror.

Her reflection was elegant and captivating.

Adrian stood and approached.

He stopped behind her.

Their eyes met in the mirror.

"It suits you."

He said in a low voice.
