Anna Ross looked warily at the man in the driver's seat.

Weren't they supposed to go to the company?

What trick was he trying to pull now?

The black Mercedes-Benz came to a smooth stop.

Anna looked out the window.

It was an entirely unfamiliar, upscale club.

Adrian Sinclair unbuckled his seatbelt, a playful smirk curling his lips.

"Taking you to a college reunion today."

He said it lightly, as if it were the most ordinary thing.

Anna's face instantly paled.

Her fingers tightened around the seatbelt.

She didn't want to go at all.

"Get out."

Adrian tapped impatiently on the window.

Anna shook her head desperately, shrinking back into the car.

The car door was yanked open.

Adrian grabbed her wrist firmly.

He leaned in close, his warm breath brushing her ear.

"If you don't want to walk yourself, I don't mind carrying you in."

Anna looked up and met his bottomless gaze.

Her heart gave a violent jolt.

She quickly lowered her head.

She knew he meant every word.

She shook off his hand forcefully.

Anna gritted her teeth. "I'll walk myself."

Adrian's lips curved in satisfaction.

"Good."

Anna got out of the car, her lips bitten white.

She hadn't seen any of her college classmates since that incident.

He brought her here specifically to humiliate her publicly.

Adrian strode forward.

Anna followed silently.

The private room was already buzzing with activity.

The class monitor greeted them warmly.

"Adrian, you finally made it! Thought we wouldn't see you again this year."

Adrian smiled faintly.

"Had some free time today."

All eyes turned to the two of them.

Whispers immediately broke out.

"They're still together? I really didn't expect that!"

"They were the sweetest couple back in school. Probably getting married soon?"

Lucas Evans suddenly interrupted the conversation.

"Don't guess wildly. They broke up a long time ago."

Everyone looked unconvinced.

"How is that possible? They came together."

Lucas was also full of doubt.

Last time, Anna had personally admitted they had broken up.

Anna quietly took a step to the side.

Trying to create some distance.

Adrian shot her a cold glance.

"Stand closer."

Everyone immediately fell silent.

Anna clenched the hem of her clothes and stiffly moved back to his side.

Adrian's lips curled with satisfaction.

He reached out and lifted her chin teasingly.

"Don't forget you're here to serve me."

Everyone was stunned.

What kind of roleplay was this?

Anna swatted his hand away.

Suppressing her humiliation, she silently retreated to the side.

Adrian rubbed his fingers together, giving her a faint glance.

Just then, a clear male voice rang out.

"Anna."

Anna looked up.

Lucas was walking towards her with a smile.

Unmistakable surprise was written all over his face.
