Chapter 491
They rushed to The Royal Lounge where Anna Ross worked.
It was still empty.
They had searched every possible location.
There was still no sign of him.
Noah Watson slammed on the brakes.
The red light ahead glared brightly.
He glanced irritably at his phone.
The dial screen once again showed the call went unanswered.
Noah rubbed his temples. "Maybe... we should go see the Chairman?"
He was reluctant, but they were out of options.
Calling the police would alert the media.
News of the Lowell family heir's disappearance must not get out.
Anna was about to speak.
Her phone suddenly vibrated.
It was a call from her mother, Vivian Lowell.
"Anna, where are you? What's taking so long?" Vivian's voice was laced with worry.
Walking alone on a rainy night was always unsettling.
Anna's fingers tightened.
She explained softly, "Mom, something came up last minute. I can't make it tonight."
"Please eat without me. Don't wait."
The light turned green.
Noah started the car again.
Vivian pressed, "Are you still out?"
Anna quickly found an excuse. "Mia asked me to pick her up. I have to go, Mom."
The moment the call ended, Noah suddenly made a U-turn.
He headed straight for the Lowell Manor.
Anna recognized the route.
She didn't want to face Grandpa Lowell.
But now, there was no other choice.
The Lowell Manor was brightly lit.
Noah saw her hesitation. "Want to wait outside?"
Anna shook her head. "Let's go in together."
A sliver of hope remained in her heart.
Perhaps he was home.
They walked around the screen.
They unexpectedly ran into Chloe Valentine.
Her eyes were red and swollen. She had clearly been crying.
Their eyes met.
Chloe abruptly turned her head away.
"Executive Assistant Ross! You must know where Adrian is!" Chloe suddenly lunged at her.
Her makeup was a mess. "He's always clinging to you! Tell me!"
Anna stood frozen.
She couldn't react for a moment.
Grandpa Lowell closed his eyes. "Noah, are you here for Adrian too?"
Noah nodded. "Chairman, you already know?"
"The phone is off. He's not home... He's vanished into thin air!" Chloe collapsed onto the floor.
Her voice was completely broken.
Noah stood silently with his arms crossed.
If the Chairman got involved, they might have news soon.
Grandpa Lowell adjusted his glasses.
His gaze swept toward Anna. "You have no clues either?"
Anna's fingers trembled slightly. "No."
"Liar! He went to find you!" Chloe suddenly grabbed her collar.
Her nails nearly dug into the fabric.
Her eyes were terrifyingly wild.
