Chapter 132
Anna Ross's heart finally settled after confirming Sophia Roscente's message on her phone.
She sent a safety text to Adrian Sinclair.
After finishing, she collapsed onto the sofa.
The earlier tension had left her mentally and physically drained.
Now she felt completely empty.
Sophia happened to come out after her shower.
She looked surprised to see Anna back.
"Anna, you're back?"
Anna looked up at her.
"Why didn't you answer any of my calls?"
"Well, because..."
Sophia bent down to pick up her phone.
Her expression looked guilty.
Just then.
The door burst open with a bang.
Adrian appeared urgently at the doorway.
The moment he saw Sophia.
His anger visibly surged.
"Sophia Roscente, you've got some nerve?"
His voice was icy.
He stepped toward them.
Anna immediately stood up.
Sophia quickly hid behind her.
Anna shook her head helplessly.
But since Sophia had already taken refuge.
She had to speak up bravely.
"Let's talk this through calmly!"
She tried her best to shield Sophia behind her.
Adrian glanced at her coldly.
"Step aside," he said frostily.
"I'm dealing with her today."
Sophia muttered discontentedly.
"I just missed some calls."
"Is that worth all this anger?"
She secretly tugged at Anna's sleeve.
"Why did you tell him?"
"You've really gotten me into trouble now."
Seeing her cousin's murderous glare.
Her heart pounded nervously.
"You didn't say I couldn't tell him when you came."
Anna sounded surprised.
She thought Adrian already knew about Sophia sneaking back.
Though unclear about their relationship.
Seeing Adrian's demeanor.
He must be very strict normally.
She worried she might have gotten Sophia into trouble.
Sophia was rendered speechless.
Pouting like an angry little pufferfish.
She hid behind Anna, too scared to come out.
Only peeking her head out slightly.
"Cousin, just this once."
"I won't do it again."
"Don't be so mean."
"Now you want to beg for mercy?"
"Do you have any idea how worried everyone was?"
He shot her a cold look.
"Perhaps I shouldn't let you stay any longer."
Hearing this.
Sophia immediately panicked.
She quickly sought help from Anna.
Her eyes pleading desperately.
Anna had no choice but to mediate bravely.
"Calm down."
"Let's discuss this properly."
"Have a seat first."
"I'll get you some water."
Though reluctant.
There was no other way at the moment.
Sophia immediately followed her.
She didn't dare stay alone with her devil cousin now.
