Chapter 326

Anna Ross's eyes widened in shock.

She finally noticed the teardrop mole at the corner of the girl's eye.

It was identical to Julian Garnache's.

Memories instantly flooded back.

She had indeed met this girl during her childhood.

But Natalie Garnache had moved abroad with her parents too early.

Anna had nearly forgotten.

She forced a smile.

"So it's Natalie."

"It really has been a long time."

"I almost didn't recognize you."

A bitter feeling rose in her heart.

She and her best friend had mistaken this girl for Julian's girlfriend.

They had been upset for nothing.

It was all just a misunderstanding.

Why did these things always happen to her?

Natalie Garnache affectionately linked arms with her.

She lowered her voice and asked, "Sis."

"My brother has been back in the country for so long."

"Has he gotten a girlfriend yet?"

"Natalie." Julian Garnache shot her a stern look.

Natalie wasn't intimidated at all.

Instead, she became even more persistent.

"Brother, you're not getting any younger."

"If you don't get a girlfriend soon, you'll become a sugar daddy."

"Don't come crying to me when no one wants you then."

She stuck out her tongue playfully.

Anna couldn't help but laugh.

Julian Garnache's face darkened instantly.

He grabbed his sister and moved her aside.

"You're so immature."

"No sense of respect."

"You're much more sensible, little sister." He massaged his temples in frustration.

Clearly, his sister's antics were giving him a headache.

Anna chuckled softly.

"She's quite adorable, though."

"She's just concerned about you."

The store clerk brought out several necklaces.

She arranged them neatly in front of Anna.

"Based on your request," she said considerately.

"I selected these."

"Please see if any meet your satisfaction."

Anna examined them carefully.

These were clearly much nicer than the ones in the display case.

Julian Garnache watched for a moment.

He asked curiously, "Buying for yourself?"

"No."

"It's a gift for someone."

Anna's eyes immediately landed on a blue star necklace.

Her eyes lit up.

She picked it up for a closer look.

"I'll take this one."

"Please wrap it for me."

The clerk was delighted.

She took it away for packaging with excellent service.

Though simple in design, this piece was the most expensive among the selection.

Julian Garnache pinched her cheek again.

He teased, "For whom?"

"I've never seen you buy gifts for anyone before."

Anna swatted his hand away.

She beamed brightly.

"Just because I didn't before doesn't mean I won't now."

"Hmm."

"The little one has grown up."

"When will you give your big brother a gift too?" Julian found teasing this sister most enjoyable.

Watching her scrunch up her face was utterly adorable.

Anna snorted lightly.

She ignored him after that.

Someone secretly photographed all of this.

Neither of them noticed.

After obtaining the necklace, Anna headed to the bar.

She planned to sing a couple of songs before leaving.

That way, the boss wouldn't have anything to say.

Just as she prepared to go on stage, her phone rang incessantly.

The caller ID showed Adrian Sinclair's name.

Her hand trembled slightly.

She answered eventually.

"I'm outside the bar where you work."

"You have one minute to come out."

The man's commanding tone annoyed her.

But since he was here, he would undoubtedly use any means to take her away.

Helpless, she had to agree.

The bar owner didn't object.

He simply allowed her to leave.
