Chapter 421

Her phone rang abruptly.

Chloe Valentine's eyes lit up.

She grabbed it quickly.

Her smile froze when the screen lit up.

It wasn't Adrian Sinclair.

It was Grandpa.

She took a deep breath and answered.

Her voice instantly turned sweet and obedient.

"Grandpa, why are you still up?"

His kind voice came through.

"Chloe, your parents are arriving in New York tomorrow."

"Don't go to the company. Bring them directly to the manor."

"Adrian will join later."

Chloe's heart raced.

She agreed immediately.

"Of course, Grandpa. I'll be there on time."

The call ended.

A victorious smile curled her lips.

At the manor.

Grandpa set down the phone with a heavy sigh.

Henry stepped forward quietly.

He adjusted the blanket over Grandpa's lap.

"Don't worry too much."

"Young people have their own fate."

Grandpa shook his head.

"Adrian is different with Anna Ross."

"I can see it."

Henry asked softly.

"Why do you think so?"

Grandpa's gaze turned to the fish tank.

The fish swam happily.

Two small fish chased and played together.

He suddenly remembered something.

"Did you find anything on that girl I asked about?"

Henry responded respectfully.

"Not much information."

"But she attended the same university as the young master."

Grandpa's eyes narrowed.

He seemed thoughtful.

"I see..."

"We'll discuss it when Adrian returns."

He motioned for Henry to wheel him upstairs.

The night grew deeper.

Elsewhere.

Mia Lawrence finally emerged from the room after much hesitation.

She wore Julian Garnache's shirt.

It was oversized, like a sack.

The sleeves covered her hands completely.

The hem almost reached her knees.

Julian couldn't help but laugh.

Mia's cheeks flushed pink.

She muttered softly.

"Is it that bad?"

It looked fine when she checked the mirror earlier.

Julian stopped laughing.

He looked at her seriously.

"No."

"It's beautiful."

"It suits you perfectly."
