Chapter 0435

Alexander

My gaze fixed on Theodore.

He was shaking his head at me violently while watching Levi.

"She's dangerous."

He dodged as Levi attempted to grab him.

"Everyone remains safe only if she stays in the dungeons. Do not release her."

'What in hell does that mean?' Titan demanded as we watched Theodore evade Levi again.

I yanked on the gates, forcing them open and squeezing through the narrow gap just as Levi pulled a blade from his jeans and lunged at Theodore once more.

"Theodore." Athena whispered, her voice cracking as his name escaped her lips.

I looked up to see the blade protruding from Theodore's chest.

His shirt rapidly darkened with blood oozing from the wound.

He staggered backward, only for Levi to seize him and keep him upright.

"You bastard!" I roared.

My eyes shifted from him to Theodore.

The color was draining swiftly from his skin.

Levi merely frowned at me.

"Look what you made me do!"

He continued holding Theodore upright.

"You forced me to kill my mate. You left me mateless. You took him from me. You will pay for this."

I simply stared at him.

How could he blame me when he had just stabbed Theodore?

'Theodore is right. This man is completely unhinged.' Titan scoffed.

Athena pushed past me.

I grabbed her hand, preventing her from moving forward.

I couldn't risk him stabbing her too.

Her blue eyes met mine and I shook my head.

'He's killed Theodore' She whispered through the link.

I could see her fighting back tears, and I had to use all my strength to stop her from throwing herself forward.

'Look at the blade's angle. It should have missed Theodore's heart.' I muttered, even though Theodore had stopped moving and his head hung low.

'There's still a chance.' At least I hoped there was.

Levi combed his fingers through Theodore's long dark hair.

He begged him to open his eyes.

"I can fix this Theodore. Just open your eyes."

He tapped Theodore's cheek, pleading desperately.

"You stabbed him, you idiot!"

"Because he shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have listened to you. He shouldn't have been awake."

Levi's eyes flicked up to me and he growled.

"I will ensure she gets out and tears your pack apart."

"No you won't." Athena growled back at him.

"I am your Alpha and you will obey my commands. You will listen and follow my orders. Look at me!"

"What are you doing to me?!" Levi demanded, his wide eyes shifting to Athena.

"Reminding you of your place." Athena snapped.

"Release Theodore." She ordered.

Levi trembled as he fought the command, but his body was forced to lower Theodore to the ground regardless of his will.

"I am a Witch. You can't do this!"

"No, you are only part Witch!" Athena growled back at him.

"I've been wondering why I couldn't reach your Lycan half and now it's obvious. You need to be at your weakest. You need to be vulnerable. When your Witch half fails, your Lycan thrives, no longer blocked by that foolish spell."

Her eyes darkened as she stared at him.

It had been some time since I'd seen Nyx so close to the surface.

"Release him." Athena demanded.

Levi's fingers withdrew from Theodore, leaving scratches across his arm.

"You bitch!" He growled, but forced himself to straighten up when from the corner of my eye, I saw Theodore rip the blade from his own chest and slash it straight across Levi's abdomen.

Levi frantically clutched at his wound, thick crimson blood spilling freely over his hands as Theodore faced him.

"I will never be your mate even if you were the last man on Earth. But I want to be the last thing you see."

He took the blade and drove it through Levi's left eye, forcing it as deep as possible.

With a smile, Theodore's legs buckled beneath him, dropping him to the ground while Levi's body fell in the opposite direction.

It hit the ground with a dull, heavy thud.
