Chapter 0293

Her muscles tightened around me.

She bit her bottom lip, releasing my hair as her eyes squeezed shut.

"Open those blue eyes or I stop," I growled, halting my movements.

She peered at me through narrowed slits, hips still rolling as she fought the rising climax.

"Look at me," I commanded.

Her eyes flew open wide.

I withdrew my fingers and thrust deep into her clenching heat.

Her nails dug into my arms, leaving crescent marks as she gritted her teeth.

Desperate moans escaped her lips while I spread her legs wider, driving into her without restraint.

I crushed my mouth against hers just as she shattered.

Her body convulsed against mine.

I kept my lips on hers, letting her moans vibrate between us until I could wait no longer.

I flipped her onto her stomach, pulling her hips back against me.

I slid into her swollen core once more.

A low moan escaped her as her face buried into the sheets, hands fisting the fabric for balance.

She glanced back at me over her shoulder.

That look drove me wild.

I slammed into her repeatedly, spanking her ass with each thrust until my own teeth clenched from the building pressure.

She screamed my name.

Athena sat at the opposite end of the bath, a content smile gracing her lips as water lapped against her chest.

Her knees were drawn up, claiming I took too much space.

I resisted reading her thoughts, honoring our agreement to only do so when concerned or during intimacy.

I watched her happy blue eyes slowly dim with sadness.

"Will we have to send them away?" she asked softly. "The boys?"

She nodded. "Last time we faced a threat, all children and elders left the pack temporarily."

"I won't send anyone away this time. They're safer here with us where we can protect them."

"Right."

I awaited the one question she hadn't asked since learning what Luc claimed to see.

Perhaps she didn't want to know. Perhaps she already knew.

"What about Lucas, when this ends? Do I just let him go?"

"That's something we'll discuss when the time comes."

"But you don't trust him. You said so yourself."

"And I stand by that."

A knock interrupted us.

I sighed inwardly. "Stay here," I muttered, rising from the bath.

Athena sank deeper into the bubbles as I wrapped a towel around my hips.

"What?" I yanked the door open to Theodore.

"More Lycans have arrived."

"How many?"

"A small pack. Thirty to forty."

"A pack of Lycans?" Athena called out.

"Their Alpha says they're called Silverwood Pack," Theodore shouted back.

That couldn't be right.

According to Luc, Silverwood was wiped out...

Though Seraphina's mother escaped, perhaps others did too.

"We'll be there shortly. Take Zachary and Sebastian and ensure Luc..."

"They're already with them." He dashed down the hallway.

I turned to find Athena already out of the bath and dressing.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?"

She nodded. "I asked them to come."

We headed to the training hall.

Unfamiliar cars crowded the entrance while arguments erupted inside.

More Wolves lingered outside, awaiting instructions.

Athena didn't hesitate, tearing the door open and marching in.

A bald man with intense blue eyes approached us.

He avoided looking directly at Athena.

He offered his hand to me, introducing himself as Caleb.

As I shook it, he yanked me forward and whispered, "Why the hell is there a Hunter here?"

"Precautions," I muttered back.

My eyes quickly found Luc.

He circled the training hall like a predator.

His gaze darted between each Lycan, making them shift nervously like startled fish trying to evade danger.

"Has anyone here gone Rogue?" I asked Caleb.

"No, not a single one of us," he stated confidently.

"Then you have nothing to worry about."

"Wait, what do you mean 'not any of us'?" Athena pressed. "Are there more of you?"

His thick brows furrowed deeply.

"He's talking about his stepdaughter," Luc muttered as he joined us. "Seraphina Blackwood."
