Chapter 90
The entire building plunged into darkness.
"What's going on?" Shouts erupted in the conference room.
Dylan Orlando shot to his feet, nearly knocking over his coffee cup.
"Damn it," he muttered under his breath.
Sebastian Valdemar remained motionless in his leather chair, long fingers tapping the desk.
In the dark, his sharp่ฝฎๅป stood out even more distinctly.
Theodore Ashcroft entered swiftly, leaning down to whisper in Sebastian's ear.
The man immediately opened his laptop, the blue glow illuminating his cold, chiseled features.
Evelyn Roland stared at the screen, fingers flying across the keyboard.
A bead of sweat trickled down her temple.
Sebastian's attack was more aggressive than she'd anticipated.
Three times.
He'd nearly pinpointed her location three times.
"Get out now," she hissed into the microphone.
Dylan yanked off his earpiece and stuffed it into his suit pocket.
"Find out who this Cyber Agent 136 is," Sebastian's voice was glacial.
The blackout was just a distraction.
The real target was infiltrating the company's systemโyet nothing was stolen.
This wasn't corporate espionage.
Sebastian's gaze settled on Dylan.
Too convenient.
Almost like he'd been sent as a decoy.
"Shall we continue our discussion, Mr. Valdemar?" Dylan sat back down, tone light.
Sebastian circled behind him, eyes scanning.
The suit pocket was empty.
"I want Valdemar Group's mineral development rights for the Colorado mines." Dylan cut straight to the point.
CH needed resources to expand domestically.
KL was untouchableโValdemar was the next best option.
"Celadon's reputation warrants that price."
Sebastian's eyes narrowed.
A designer wanting mining rights?
If it was about money, he'd have demanded profit shares directly.
"Deal." Sebastian suddenly smirked. "Pleasure doing business."
The moment Dylan left, Sebastian's expression darkened.
"Follow him."
Theodore vanished soundlessly down the hallway.
Evelyn tracked the red dot on her screen.
The earpiece was still on Dylan.
Then a blue dot appeared at the edge of the map.
Her pupils contracted.
"You're being tailed," she whispered urgently.
The earpiece vibrated three times.
Dylan casually put it back on.
"Turn right. Take the elevator."
He paused mid-step.
Discovered already?
