Chapter 34
"Finally, this day has come." Nathan Evans' eyes gleamed with greed as his fingers roughly tore open the woman's collar. "I'm going to savor every bit of you today."
Every detail was crystal clear on the high-definition screen. The mask of hypocrisy had been ripped away, leaving Nathan with no room for denial.
Victoria Lowell's face drained of color, then turned ashen before flushing crimson. Her fists clenched so tightly her nails dug into her palms.
"Vicky, this video is fake!" Nathan grabbed her arm in panic. "Someone must be framing me!"
Evelyn Roland smirked disdainfully. "Feel free to have it authenticated."
With a tap of her fingers on the keyboard, the screen split into nine squaresโeach showing Nathan entangled with different women in compromising positions.
The banquet hall erupted in chaos.
Gasps of shock rippled through the crowd. Vincent and Margaret Lowell looked ready to vanish on the spot, their faces twisted in humiliation.
What was meant to be a joyous engagement party had become a farce.
"Evelyn Roland!" Victoria shrieked hysterically, charging toward the stage. "I'll kill you!"
Madness burned in her eyes.
If not for this woman, she would have been the happiest bride. Now everything was ruined.
"Take your tantrum elsewhere." Evelyn tossed the words over her shoulder and walked away, leaving the Lowell family in disarray.
Sebastian Valdemar narrowed his eyes, watching the retreating figure with intrigue.
Hacking into a five-star hotel's surveillance system in such a short timeโthis woman was far from ordinary.
For the first time, someone had piqued his interest so intensely.
"Evelyn Roland," he murmured, striding after her.
At the hotel entrance, Evelyn massaged her aching ankles. The eight-centimeter heels made her steps unsteady.
She didn't notice the scorching gaze fixed on her back.
"Mr. Valdemar." Adrienne Klein's voice suddenly cut through the air.
Sebastian turned with a frown.
Jessica Rubinstein approached nervously. "Mr. Valdemar, those rumors at the celebration were just hearsay. Please don't take them to heart."
She kept her head bowed, not daring to meet his icy stare.
