Chapter 324

Bianca Savigny stretched lazily, nearly colliding with a figure as she pushed open her door.

"Master Evelyn?" Her eyes widened in surprise. "I thought you were taking a few days off."

Evelyn Roland's expression was darker than the night outside.

"Come with me."

Bianca hurried to keep up with her master's brisk pace.

......

The computer screen flickered to life, playing a grainy video.

"Notice anything?" Evelyn tapped the desk lightly.

Bianca leaned closer. "That silhouette..." She gasped. "It's someone from Sebastian Valdemar's inner circle!"

"Correct." A glint of approval flashed in Evelyn's eyes. "Dig into Sebastian's recent contacts."

Vincent Valdemar had just returned to the countryโ€”too new to act alone.

"You suspect..." Bianca's voice dropped.

"There might be a mole." Evelyn's tone was icy.

Bianca sprang into action. By afternoon, she'd combed through every employee file at Chรขteau Blanc.

"Found something." She rushed back, breathless. "The new bartender is suspicious."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes. "Keep him under surveillance."

"What about Vincent?" Bianca handed over a dossier.

"Too clean." Evelyn flipped through the call logs. "Suspiciously clean."

In the surveillance room, the pair stared at the screens for three straight hours.

"Damn it." Bianca rubbed her aching eyes. "Did this guy turn invisible?"

"Bring that waiter in." Evelyn suddenly stood.

The video's distorted audio was a tangled messโ€”even tech support couldn't decipher it.

Bianca dashed out, only to return pale-faced moments later.

"Master..." Her voice trembled. "He's gone."

The last lead had vanished.
