"I'm Fine!"

Two voices rang out simultaneously. Sebastian Valdemar and Evelyn Roland locked eyes before bursting into laughter.

The headmaster glanced between them, a knowing smile flashing across his face.

"I'll continue researching treatment options for Guoguo. Please keep monitoring the other children's conditions and update me."

"Of course!"

The headmaster grasped Evelyn's hands tightly, eyes glistening with emotion.

After leaving Sunshine Special School, Evelyn remained unusually quiet.

Sebastian held her delicate hand without pressing for explanations.

Once inside the car, he handed her a bottle of mineral water.

"Autism treatment takes time. You're already doing amazing work."

"I know. It's just seeing those children..."

Evelyn yawned and leaned back against the seat. "I'll rest my eyes."

The morning's activities and playing with the children had drained her energy.

"Sleep."

The comfortable temperature and Sebastian's smooth driving soon lulled her into deep slumber.

He stole glances at her peaceful face, unable to resist brushing his fingers against her cheek.

"Are we there?"

Evelyn blinked awake to find the car parked outside Massachusetts General Hospital.

"Why are we at the hospital?"

"Bandage change." Sebastian unbuckled his seatbelt. "For my peace of mind."

"Alright."

They exchanged smiles before walking into the hospital together.

Emerging later with fresh bandages, they burst out laughing at their matching dressings.

Back at Château Blanc, Evelyn's phone rang as soon as she stepped out of the car.

Bianca Savigny's frantic voice came through. "Where are you?"

"What's wrong?"

"Check Twitter now!"

Bianca arrived panting, only then noticing Sebastian. "Mr. Valdemar."

"What's happening?"

Bianca pulled up Twitter's trending page.

"You're being targeted again."
