Chapter 343

"Sister." Isabella's eyes instantly welled up with tears, her voice trembling.

Bianca darted forward and enthusiastically grasped her hand. "Hi there! I'm Bianca Savigny. Just call me Bianca."

Isabella's carefully crafted emotional moment was shattered. A flicker of irritation flashed in her eyes.

"Evelyn, this is your sister's boyfriend, Oliver Valrose," Sophia said gently, taking Evelyn's hand.

Oliver stepped forward with a polished smile. "I've heard so much about you. Isabella often mentions her brilliant older sister."

He extended his hand, but his gaze lingered a beat too long on Evelyn's face.

Evelyn gave a slight nod, barely sparing him a glance.

Oliver's hand hung awkwardly in the air, his smile faltering.

"Mom, these strawberries are sweet," Evelyn remarked coolly.

Sophia beamed. "I saved them just for you. Your father begged all afternoon, but I wouldn't let him touch them."

Edward immediately sidled up. "See how unfair your mother is, darling?"

Evelyn popped a strawberry into his mouth. Edward grinned like a child.

"Honestly, acting like this at your age," Sophia chided playfully.

"No acting, no treats," Edward retorted smugly as he chewed.

Bianca watched with sparkling eyes. "You two are adorable!"

The moment she spoke, a strawberry landed in her mouth. Bianca gasped in delight, turning to Evelyn. "Thank you, Master!"

Isabella observed the scene, her nails digging into her palms.

"Isabella, your sister seems to hold quite a high status in the Roland family," Oliver murmured, though his eyes remained fixed on Evelyn.

Isabella whipped her head toward him, her gaze venomous. "Watch your eyes."

A chill ran down Oliver's spine. He forced a laugh. "Just making conversation."

"Remember your place," Isabella hissed. "Cross me, and you'll regret it."

A shadow flickered in Oliver's eyes, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared.

The living room buzzed with laughterโ€”except for Oliver, who sat stiffly on edge.

He discreetly tugged Isabella's sleeve.

"Mom, Dad, I'll take Oliver for a walk in the garden," Isabella announced, her voice suddenly sweet.

Sophia nodded. "Don't wander too far."

Bianca rubbed her arms, unnerved by Isabella's seamless shift in demeanor.

The movement didn't escape Isabella. Before leaving, she shot Evelyn a glare sharp enough to cut glass.
