Chapter 249

Joanna rolled her eyes in disgust, pretending not to notice, but abruptly turned around at the corner.

She furtively pulled out her phone, aiming the camera at the scene inside the private room.

"Cheater. Let's see how you talk your way out of this one," she muttered under her breath, swiftly tapping the record button.

On the screen, a dozen scantily clad women swayed their hips around Sebastian, who kept downing glass after glass of liquor.

Without hesitation, Joanna sent the video to Evelyn along with a scathing rant.

"Evelyn, look at this jerk! Faking a heart condition for sympathy during the day, then showing his true colors at night!"

Evelyn was reviewing documents from Silas in her room when her phone buzzed.

Her pupils constricted the moment she opened the video.

It wasn't the gyrating women that shocked herโ€”it was the mountain of empty bottles piled before Sebastian.

"That lunatic!"

She shot to her feet, fingers tightening around her phone.

He'd had a cardiac episode just this morning, and now he was drowning himself in alcohol?

As Evelyn started typing a reply, Joanna's messages kept flooding in, each dripping with outrage.

Taking a deep breath, Evelyn dialed Joanna directly. "Send me the address. I'm coming."

Ten minutes later, Evelyn stood outside Le Bar du Ritz.

Joanna rushed to meet her. "I'll take you up! That scumbag's probably wasted by nowโ€”when I peeked earlier, he'd already undone three shirt buttons!"

Evelyn's mouth twitched. "I'm here to save a life, not catch a cheating husband."

They hurried to the VIP room. Without preamble, Evelyn kicked the door open.

A wave of alcohol fumes made her grimace.

All eyes in the room turned toward the entrance.

"Out," Evelyn commanded, her glare sharp enough to kill.

The women exchanged glances before grabbing their purses to leave.

Someone whispered, "The wife's here. Let's bounce."

Ignoring the murmurs, Evelyn marched straight to Sebastian.

He was tilting his head back to drink, Adam's apple bobbing with each swallow.

"Enough!" She snatched the bottle away.

Sebastian blinked drunkenly, his hazy vision conjuring Evelyn's face.

"Hallucination..." he slurred, reaching for another drink.

Evelyn had had enough. She flipped the entire table over.

The shattering glass echoed violently through the room.
