Chapter 251

The dagger in Silas Eisner's hand gleamed coldly.

"Your blood is the divine elixir. I will have it."

Evelyn Roland's pupils constricted.

The black-clad figures lurking in the shadows were his accomplices all along.

When a direct assault failed, they resorted to deception. Burdened with recent affairs, she had let her guard down.

She stepped in front of Sebastian Valdemar in a flash.

"You want my life?"

The killing intent in Silas's eyes intensified. He had no patience for wordsโ€”only blood and death. Evelyn would be taken by force.

Boomโ€”

A deafening impact erupted.

Before Evelyn could react, Silas was sent flying like a ragdoll, crashing into the wall with a sickening spray of blood.

Alexander Roland whistled appreciatively as he followed Julian Roland, admiring his brother's flawless roundhouse kick.

The once-menacing man now paled, scrambling toward Evelyn in three frantic strides.

"Are you hurt?" Alexander urgently checked her for injuries.

"I'm fine." Rubbing her numb elbow, Evelyn frowned at Julian. "How did youโ€”"

"Not now." Alexander's expression darkened. "This place isn't safe. We need to leave immediately."

Julian issued a crisp order. "Alexander, help me escort this man to the police station."

Meanwhile, Sebastian remained slumped in drunken oblivion.

Evelyn strained to haul him upright. His bleary eyes barely focused on her.

"How much did you drink?" She gritted her teeth. "You almost got yourself killed!"

Though barely conscious, Sebastian managed a shaky descent down the stairs with her support.

A Roland family car idled outside the bar, ready for departure.

At the same moment, Olivia Valdemar answered Theodore Ashcroft's call.

"Mr. Valdemar is recuperating at the Roland estate."

"What?" Olivia's spine stiffened.

After hearing the details, she exhaled in relief. "Thank goodness he's safe. I'll visit in person to express my gratitude."

Outside Blenheim Palaceโ€”

Sebastian had sobered up completely, just as the Roland brothers returned from the police station.

"What's the situation?" Evelyn pressed.

"He's awake, but..." Julian's gaze flicked to Sebastian, his expression instantly turning stormy.

Why was he here?

Alexander promptly pulled Evelyn aside. "We'll talk inside."
