Chapter 209

The heated argument erupted across the set, drawing the attention of the director's team monitoring the screens.

Fiona Valentine stood nearby, a fake smile plastered on her lips. "Senior Evelyn, my cousin is an industry veteran. Shouldn't you show some respect?"

Evelyn Roland shot her a frosty glance. She had once dismissed Fiona as merely young and reckless, but now it was clearโ€”the two cousins were cut from the same cloth.

"Disgraceful," Felicity Valentine sneered, arms crossed and chin lifted. "No wonder even your own parentsโ€”"

Before she could finish, Evelyn's gaze turned glacial.

"Say that again."

Felicity caught sight of the contract in Evelyn's hand and smirked. "Begging for my cooperation? Get on your knees, and maybe I'll give you a discount."

"Exactly," Fiona chimed in. "Senior Evelyn should show some sincerity."

Splashโ€”

A bucket of ice water drenched Felicity from head to toe.

She shrieked, jumping to her feet. Her meticulously styled costume was soaked, her makeup smeared, leaving her looking like a drowned rat.

"Are you insane?!" she screeched hysterically.

Fiona pretended to intervene but had already retreated to a safe distance. Evelyn watched the two fake sisters with cold amusement, her lips curling in disdain.

The director's team rushed over at the commotion, their expressions strained.

"Ms. Valentine, please calm downโ€”"

"What kind of circus are you running here?" Felicity jabbed a trembling finger at Evelyn. "How dare you let this lunatic on set?"

The director turned to Evelyn. "Apologize and leave immediately!"

Evelyn calmly adjusted her sleeve. "A Golden Globe-winning director for The Tibetan Antelope, reduced to babysitting this trash. How pathetic."

She pointed to a cleaner at the edge of the set. "That woman over there could act circles around this so-called 'Ms. Valentine.'"

Felicity trembled with rage, her voice shaking. "Youโ€”youโ€”"

At the mention of The Tibetan Antelope, the director froze in place.
