Chapter 469

"Daniel, do you think Ms. Roland will be satisfied?"

Inside the laboratory, Daniel and David Murphy waited anxiously. The success of this drug development owed much to Evelyn Roland. From initial data corrections to every critical milestone, her precise guidance had been indispensable.

Though they were the primary researchers, everyone knew Evelyn was the driving force behind this project.

When they first took on the autism medication research, the brothers had felt overwhelming pressure. Now, with a breakthrough finally achieved, they couldnโ€™t wait to report their progress to Evelyn.

Footsteps echoed behind them. Both turned simultaneously.

"Ms. Roland! Mr. Valdemar!"

Evelyn and Sebastian Valdemar approached side by side. Daniel immediately stepped forward. "Ms. Roland, please take a look at our results."

Inside the glass-walled lab, Daniel carefully retrieved a transparent container and poured out an orange-colored lozenge.

"This is our improved formula, now with natural fruit flavoring."

Evelyn took the lozenge, rolling it between her fingers. Sunlight streamed through the glass, casting a crystalline shimmer across its surface.

"Considering childrenโ€™s preferences, weโ€™ve also developed multiple flavors," David added. "Strawberry, grape, appleโ€”all kid-approved."

Sebastian stood nearby, his gaze settling on the neatly arranged samples on the lab bench.

"What about the liquid version?"

David promptly produced a small blue vial. "This one acts faster, but the taste isnโ€™t as pleasant."

Evelyn uncapped the bottle, releasing a faint medicinal scent. Her brow furrowed slightly. "Clinical trial data?"

The lab fell silent.

Daniel rubbed his hands together. "So far, weโ€™ve only tested it on animals..."

"The results are promising, but human trials are different," David continued, his voice trailing off.

Sebastian moved to the computer, swiftly scanning the experimental data. "Iโ€™ll arrange the clinical trials."

The brothers exhaled in relief. "Thank you, Mr. Valdemar!"

"This was always my project," Sebastian replied evenly, though his words made both men flush.

Evelyn set the vial back on the table. "Side effect reports?"

Daniel hurriedly flipped open another file. "Hereโ€™s the detailed logโ€”mostly minor gastrointestinal reactions..."

Outside, sunlight streamed through the windows. Reflections from glassware danced across the walls like celebratory confetti for this pivotal moment.
