Chapter 120

"Miss Roland, we truly appreciate you taking the time to visit personally."

Mr. Evans trailed closely behind Evelyn Roland, persistently bringing up the collaboration proposal. Securing a partnership with the prestigious Roland family would undoubtedly elevate the Evans' social standing.

As their footsteps faded, Mrs. Evans returned to the hospital room, her brow furrowed. She couldn't comprehend why the Roland heiress would personally visit Nathan.

"Mom!"

The sudden shout from the hospital bed startled her. She glared at her son. "Must you be so dramatic?"

Nathan's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I get it now! Isabella must have feelings for me. That's why she came to see me. Someone as proud as her wouldn't confess directly."

"Are you sure?"

Though skeptical, Nathan grew more convinced. A smug smile spread across his face.

Initially, he'd pursued Evelyn only because she was Celadon. But Isabella was the real dealโ€”a genuine Roland heiress, far more worthy of his efforts.

"Just wait, Isabella!" Nathan vowed silently, already plotting his next move.

A sharp pain shot through his head. He grimaced, his expression darkening. "Evelyn Roland, once I win Isabella over, we'll see who's laughing then."

"Celadon? Just some nobody designer. Against the Rolands, you're nothing."

He could already picture Evelyn begging for mercy. During his recovery, he instructed his mother to prepare gifts for his grand romantic gesture.

Three days later, in the KL Design Group CEO's office...

Alexander Roland's slender fingers tapped the desk as he studied the design sketches. He picked up his phone and dialed his sister.

"I'm working on my designs. What is it?" Evelyn's voice came through.

"The new collection's blueprints feel incomplete. Could you come take a look?"

Alexander got straight to the point. He knew Evelyn was busy with her graduation project.

Evelyn glanced at her half-finished sketches. "Fine. I'll head over now."

"I'll have Benjamin meet you downstairs."

After hanging up, Evelyn packed her tools and rushed out. The journey from Stanford to KL Design spanned half the city.

When she arrived, a crowd had gathered outside KL Tower. Instinctively, she tensedโ€”until a familiar voice pierced through the noise:

"Isabella, I love you! Be my girlfriend!"

Nathan's public declaration echoed clearly. Frozen in place, Evelyn found her feet moving toward the commotion against her will.
