Chapter 364
"I'm visiting Evelyn at noon. Don't prepare lunch for me."
The sunlight was perfect as Isabella Langley impulsively decided to visit Chรขteau Blanc.
Her car had just passed through the estate gates when a black sedan abruptly blocked her path.
"Sweetheart Isabella!"
That voice made her slam the brakes. Behind her sunglasses, her pupils constricted sharply.
Owen Valrose's greasy face leaned out from the car window.
She immediately shifted into reverse, spinning the steering wheel frantically.
"Ungrateful brat!"
Owen chased after her in a rage, the two vehicles engaged in a high-speed pursuit down the road.
Finally forced to pull over, Isabella glared icily at the man who called himself her father.
"Nice car," Owen eyed her vehicle greedily. "Did you buy it yourself?"
"None of your business."
"Watch your tone! I'm your father!" Owen forced a smile. "Isabella, dear, I'm in a bit of trouble..."
Isabella suddenly laughed, the sound laced with biting coldness.
"Of course. You never show up unless you want something."
Owen's expression stiffened before he plastered on another smile. "The family business is struggling. Could you help out?"
"Dream on!"
She turned to get back in her car but was yanked back by the arm.
"How dare you speak to me like that?" Owen finally dropped the act. "I could make sure you're kicked out of the Roland family!"
Isabella's stiletto heel came down hard on his foot.
As Owen howled in pain, she swiftly started the engine and sped away.
At the winery entrance, Isabella immediately spotted Evelyn Roland sipping wine.
She rushed over like a drowning woman clutching at driftwood, nearly knocking Bianca Savigny off balance.
"Big sister~"
The sickeningly sweet tone made Evelyn's eyebrow twitch.
"Let go."
Isabella only clung tighter, her voice trembling. "Save me, sister..."
Bianca gaped at the scene, her wineglass almost slipping from her fingers.
"Bianca," Evelyn said coldly. "Remove her."
Reluctantly, Isabella released her gripโonly to meet Evelyn's piercing gaze.
Those eyes were filled with suspicion and warning.
