Chapter 294

"Mr. Macmillan, this is your room."

The staff member led Ross to the third floor. As the door opened, a faint trace of soothing incense drifted through the air.

Ross narrowed his eyes slightly.

This Miss Roland... was rather intriguing.

After settling in, Ross changed into casual attire and strolled through the winery.

All committee members had arrived, yet the reception staff remained energetic, their smiles genuine and warm.

In the garden pavilion, several employees immediately stood and greeted him with poised yet relaxed manners.

Ross found himself curious. "You seem to enjoy working here?"

"Yes, we're treated with dignity here," a waitress replied, her eyes bright.

"At my last job, people looked down on servers," a younger employee added. "But Miss Roland taught us that no job is beneath anyone."

An older staff member's eyes grew moist. "I wanted to end my life... until she gave me a new purpose."

Ross listened quietly, his expression softening.

"Keep up the good work," he murmured as he stood. "Chรขteau Blanc is worthy of your pride."

Over the next two days, Ross's astonishment grew.

He'd seen countless performative philanthropists, but Evelyn Roland's sincerity couldn't be faked.

From her employees' devotion to every meticulous detail, this young winery owner displayed not just competence, but rare integrity.

Perhaps this partnership would exceed his expectations.

Morning light spilled into the hall as Sebastian approached Evelyn's resting form on the sofa.

"Tired?" he asked softly.

She shook her head. "You're the one who's lost weight again."

Before Sebastian could respond, his posture stiffened.

"Uncle?"

A middle-aged man stood at the entrance with a polite smile. "Long time no see, Sebastian."

Vincent Valdemar's gaze slid past his nephew, settling on Evelyn. "At last we meet, Miss Roland."
