Chapter 106

"You don't know yet, do you? She's Celadon."

Alexander Roland's eyes shone with pride. Even without this identity, he adored his long-lost sister beyond measure.

"What?" Sophia Roland sprang up from the couch, her voice cracking. "Celadon, the international jewelry design master?"

Her trembling finger pointed at the limited-edition poster of Celadon's design on the wall. "The same Celadon whose pieces I waited eight months in line for and still couldn't buy?"

Alexander nodded with a smile. "So when you accused me of bullying her, how could I dare?"

Sophia and Edward Roland exchanged glances, mutual shock reflected in their eyes.

Evelyn Roland gave a faint smile. "If you like them, Mom, I can customize something for you anytime."

"Wonderful!" Sophia's eyes reddened with emotion. That her daughter could achieve such mastery while trapped in the Lowell household was nothing short of miraculous.

Alexander's expression darkened abruptly. "Someone accused Evelyn of colluding with competitors. She resigned in anger."

"Who dares slander my daughter?" Sophia slammed her palm on the table, her well-maintained face contorted with fury. "Bring them here!"

"It's in the past." Evelyn waved it off casually. "Resigning wasn't just because of that. I wanted to explore new directions."

"Useless boy!" Sophia turned and jabbed Alexander's forehead. "Can't even protect your sister, despite your size!"

Her chest heaved at the thought of her daughter's suffering.

In the corner, Isabella Langley dug her nails into her palms until they left crescent marks. Since Evelyn's return, the family's attention had been completely stolen.

Their eyes were only for their biological daughter. Where did that leave her, the adopted one? If this continued, there'd be no place for her in the Roland family.

"Evelyn," Edward suddenly proposed, "how about you take over KL?"

"What?"

The siblings spoke in unison, clearly stunned by the suggestion.

Isabella nearly ground her teeth to dust. After all these years in the Roland household, she'd never even set foot in KL. How could Evelyn waltz in and take over the family business?

"No." Evelyn refused firmly. "CH is at a critical stage. I don't have the bandwidth for anything else."

She paused, then added, "Besides, Alexander manages it perfectly."

Sophia took her daughter's hand gently. "We'll support whatever you want to do."

Even if Evelyn asked for the stars, the Rolands would find a way to build a rocket.

"Mom, Dad..." Isabella spoke up timidly. "I... I'd like to try managing KL too."

"Of course, let Isabella gain some experience." Sophia agreed readilyโ€”after all, she was also her daughter.

"Oh," Edward remembered something. "Evelyn, would you like to go back to school?"

During her years with the Lowells, Evelyn hadn't even completed junior collegeโ€”a lingering regret.

Evelyn's eyes lit up. Campus life would provide both cover and ample free time. Perfect.

"Okay." She agreed immediately.

With the Rolands' connections, Stanford University admission was secured within three daysโ€”a tier above Isabella's alma mater.
