Chapter 330
In Evelyn Roland's office, Bianca Savigny flipped through the latest compiled documents.
"Still no leads." Bianca closed the folder, her brow furrowed.
Sebastian Valdemar stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, his phone screen darkening.
He turned toward the desk, his gaze settling on a photo frame.
The young man in the picture radiated youthful vigor, while the man beside him wore a gentle smile.
The basement of Chรขteau Blanc was dimly lit.
Evelyn reclined on a leather sofa, her fingers tapping rhythmically against the armrest.
Bianca stood nearby, her foot planted on a man trussed up like a mummy.
"Make him talk."
Evelyn's voice was soft, yet it sent a shiver down the bound man's spine.
He struggled to lift his head. "This is illegal detention! I'll call the police!"
"From Chรขteau Blanc?" Evelyn leaned forward, her red lips curving slightly.
The man's pupils constricted violently.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" he spat defiantly.
Bianca snorted. "Still playing tough."
Evelyn rose, her stilettos clicking sharply against the floor.
"Bianca, check his gambling debts."
The man's face drained of color.
"Master, he owes over three million at the casino." Bianca scrolled through her phone. "The loan sharks said they'll take his hand if he doesn't pay up."
The man's breathing turned ragged.
"Send him to the police." Evelyn waved a dismissive hand. "Along with the evidence."
"Wait!" The man thrashed suddenly. "What do you want to know?"
Evelyn held up her phone screen. "Recognize him?"
The photo showed a young man whose features bore a striking resemblance to the bound man.
"N-no... I don't." He averted his face.
Bianca stomped on his back. "Last chance."
The man gritted his teeth in pain. "H-he's my younger brother."
Evelyn's eyes narrowed. "Go on."
"He disappeared three months ago." The man's voice trembled. "Last place he was seen... Chรขteau Blanc."
Evelyn and Bianca exchanged a glance.
"Take him away." Evelyn turned toward the depths of the basement. "Make him spill everything."
