Chapter 83
Evelyn Roland set down her phone, her fingers flying across the keyboard.
Dylan Orlando's efficiency had always been reliable.
At the Lowell family villa, Vincent Lowell stared at his phone screen, the tension in his shoulders finally easing.
The forged documents showed Evelyn came from humble beginnings, with no ties to high society.
"I told you she was ungrateful!" Victoria Lowell snatched the phone, her lips curling into a mocking smirk.
Vincent frowned. The Roland family's sudden hostility baffled him.
"Why not pay them a visit?" Margaret Hill suggested.
The next morning, the Lowells stood outside the Roland estate, clutching expensive gifts.
Sophia Roland listened to the butler's report, her silk robe sweeping coldly through the stairwell.
"Tell them to leave."
The butler bowed and delivered the message to the waiting couple. "Madam is not receiving guests."
"We can wait!" Margaret insisted.
Under the scorching sun, two basins of ice water suddenly drenched them.
Vincent's suit was soaked, but he dared not react.
The Roland manor blazed with light.
"Try this." Sophia placed a piece of snow-white fish into her daughter's bowl.
Isabella Langley stirred her spoon. "You must be exhausted dealing with my sister's mess, aren't you?"
