Chapter 67

"The company has no place for troublemakers who undermine unity."

"Give me the name. They're fired immediately." Alexander Roland's voice was steel.

Outside the security door, Sebastian Valdemar's leather shoes sank soundlessly into the plush carpet. He'd come to discuss a PR statement with Evelyn Rolandโ€”only to stumble upon this scene.

Through the door crack, he saw the way Alexander looked at Evelyn.

That was no superior assessing a subordinate.

It was tenderness bordering on adoration.

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. Interesting.

Office romance?

Or something more complicated?

The blue glow of a phone screen illuminated Evelyn's face. Her fingers tapped lightly, pinpointing an IP address with surgical precision.

"Dorian Wayne from HR."

Jessica Rubinstein's uncle.

Alexander took the phone. The flashing digits matched the computer terminal in Dorian Wayne's office.

In the banquet hall, Dorian Wayne was edging toward the exit when he was stopped. His face turned ashen.

"I didn't do it!" Beads of sweat formed on his forehead. "You call this evidence?"

Evelyn gave a soft laugh.

She pulled up Dorian Wayne's complete chat history with Edmund Grandelleโ€”including the deleted messages.

"Care to keep lying?" She tilted her head. "What a shame."

Dorian Wayne's knees buckled.

"You're terminated." Alexander's voice could have frozen hell.

Sebastian's lips curved by the door. Such absolute trust was...unusual.

"I've devoted over a decade to this company!" Dorian Wayne suddenly shrieked. "And you believe this little girl?"

His voice echoed through the stairwell.
