Chapter 103

Evelyn's fingertips trembled slightly. She hadn't expected her disguise to unravel this quicklyโ€”without even a moment to prepare.

"Let's talk somewhere else." Sebastian's tone brooked no argument.

She clenched her skirt. "Where?"

"Change your clothes. I'll wait outside." The man turned and left the dressing room, his footsteps fading.

Evelyn quickly changed into casual wear. When she pushed the door open, Sebastian was leaning against the wall, his gaze sharp as a blade.

"This way."

The cafรฉ smelled faintly of Blue Mountain coffee. She chose a seat by the window, her tense reflection visible in the glass.

"What's your goal?" She broke the silence first.

Sebastian stirred his coffee leisurely. "Miss Celadon, that's my question for you." He leaned forward suddenly. "Or should I call you the mastermind behind CH?"

Outside, plane tree leaves spiraled to the ground.

"Dylan must have told youโ€”CH wants the mining rights." Her nails dug into her palms.

"Fine." Sebastian smiled unexpectedly. "But I want exclusive rights to all your design blueprints." He paused. "And you'll sever all ties with Celadon."

It felt like having her heart carved out.

"Deal." Evelyn heard her own hoarse voice. "But one condition."

"Speak."

"The identity of CH's head ends here."

Sebastian lifted his coffee cup, tapping the rim lightly. "Pleasure doing business."

At the cafรฉ entrance, Isabella clenched her phone. Through the lens, Sebastian was smiling at that country bumpkinโ€”a rare sight.

She pressed the shutter with a cold smirk.

KL Design was in chaos.

Hannah's hands shook as she held out an autograph book. "Oh my god! I've been working with Celadon all this time!" She suddenly lunged forward. "Evelynโ€”no, goddess! Please sign this!"

Just as Evelyn was about to write, the office door slammed open.

"Evelyn Roland!" Gregory stormed in with security guards. "You're suspended pending investigation!"

Adrienne stepped forward in her stilettos. "Gregory, overstepping much?"

"Conspiring with a competitor's executive!" Gregory threw photos onto the table. "This is your design department's star employee?"

In the photos, the coffee cup reflected a cold, harsh light.
